Laser Hair Reduction
Laser Hair Reduction is one of the most popular laser treatments available on the market to safely and effectively reduce unwanted hair. It works by using laser energy that is emitted into the hair follicle, stopping the blood flow to the hair, ultimately stopping it from growing. Results are permanent, yet new hairs could possibly begin to grow in the area treated.
Who is a candidate for laser hair reduction?
Any skin type, even tanned skin, can be treated with one of our lasers: the 1064nm YAG or 810 Diode laser. Skin can not be exposed to any sunlight for at least two weeks prior to and after treatment. Waxing should be avoided for 6 weeks prior to treatments as well so the hair follicles are in tact for the first treatment. Pregnant or nursing moms cannot have laser hair removal.
How often are treatments conducted?
Every 4 to 6 weeks is recommended as long as the hair is visible. For maintenance, treatments can be spread out for longer periods of time.
What is the treatment protocol?
The area to be treated should be shaved the day prior to treatment and it should be free of lotions or deodorant. The entire area is treated each session, and should be repeated every 4 to 6 weeks to ensure the correct growth cycle is targeted each time. Packages of 4 are available at a discounted cost.
