Introducing Restylane Refyne & Defyne
Next-generation flexible hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, Restylane Defyne and Refyne are a game changer when pursuing natural looking results. As we get older the skin loses elasticity and the lines that run from the sides of your nose toward the corners of your mouth, as well as from the corner of your mouth toward the chin, appear more noticeable. Dermal fillers are specifically formulated with hyaluronic acid to treat the nasolabial folds or ‘laugh lines’. Hyaluronic acid is a clear, naturally-occurring substance found in the body. When injected in the skin, lines and wrinkles can be smoothed out and reshaped. Hyaluronic dermal fillers are often used to provide a more youthful appearance and reduce the signs of aging.
What is all the hype about dermal fillers?
Although other dermal fillers have been used in the past to treat these same concerns, the XpresHAn technology allows for these products to move as facial expressions are made to prevent a fake, injected or unnatural appearance. This is the ideal treatment for patients who want to ensure they do not look overdone.
What is the difference between Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne?
The fundamental difference between Restylane® Defyne and Restylane® Refyne is that they differ in the amount of cross-linking found within the gel, which in turn, determines the amount of flexibility and support that the gel provides once injected.
You can think of Defyne as the foundation and Refyne as a finishing product. Defyne is a thicker product that restores volume loss in deepened lines and severe facial folds. This is the base that is providing structure to the lower face. Refyne contains more pliable properties to correct more superficial lines and wrinkles. Although either of these products can be used alone, they work miracles when used in conjunction with each other.
These two products ultimately tackle the same aesthetic concerns, but have been designed to provide doctors like Dr. Jenny Weyler with more options for creating a tailored treatment plan to tackle fine lines and wrinkles. This adds more tools in our aerosol to customize treatments to meet the individual needs of each patient.
Patient Results
These fillers last an average of 9 to 12 months, but results vary for each patient. While Dr. Jenny implements a cannula to significantly decrease the chance of any bruising, it is still possible to experience mild bruising or swelling. Dr. Jenny is thrilled to introduce this new technology to Aponi Aesthetics. The results have been remarkable in smoothing out wrinkles and volume loss in the lower face.
