The world has changed drastically since March 11, 2020, when the World Health Organization (WHO) labeled COVID-19 (Coronavirus) a global pandemic. Although the worst of the COVID-19 outbreak has slowed down, we are not out of the woods yet completely. It is pivotal that we move forward with new, appropriate guidelines and precautions to help continue to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
As a business that takes pride in helping patients look and feel their best but also comes in direct, close contact with our patients, we came up with new policies to help ensure that our staff and patients remain healthy and safe. The new guidelines include the following below.
- Limited number of staff working at one time
- Patients to wait in their car & will receive a text when their practitioner is ready
- Doors will remain locked to ensure the minimum number of people in the office at all times
- Patients to complete COVID-19 screening application for every appointment
- Temperatures will be taken upon arrival for patients and staff
- Patients and staff required to wear masks
- Practitioners to also wear facial shields
- Longer appointment time to thoroughly sanitize treatment rooms
- Separate staff and patient bathrooms
The purpose of these new policies is to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission significantly. First, we are limiting the number of people in the office to help limit the number of people both our patients and staff come in contact with while at Aponi Aesthetics. We are also closing our waiting room area and requiring patients to wait in their car until their provider is ready for them.
All staff and patients will have their temperatures taken as soon as they arrive. Anyone with a higher than average temperature will be asked to leave the office immediately. Also, patients will be asked to complete a COVID-19 screening application before every appointment. These precautions help identify those displaying COVID-19 symptoms to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19.
Both patients and practitioners will be wearing masks while in the office. Practitioners will also be wearing facial shields as an extra layer of protection for both parties.
We have always made proper sanitation a top priority. However, we have raised the bar even higher by enhancing our cleaning protocol and increasing the frequency. Treatment rooms will be thoroughly sanitized after every patient. Lastly, there will be dedicated bathrooms for both the staff and patients to minimize cross-contamination.
Although there are many changes since you last visited us, you can take solace in knowing that you will continue to receive the same level of care that you have come to know and expect at Aponi Aesthetics. We are beyond excited to welcome you back!
