Are There Side Effects?
Kybella is the first injectable medication to be approved by the FDA for double chin treatment. A few temporary side effects associated with Kybella include bruising and tenderness in the injection area. However, other side effects like numbness and residual swelling can remain for up to 4 weeks’ post-treatment.
When are results noticed?
Most patients need at least a series of 2 treatments, possibly 3, to achieve desired results. Treatments are spaced out every 6 to 8 weeks and results begin to show after about 2-3 months. Continued improvement can be noticed up to 6 months.
