Revolutionary injectable for treatment of cellulite
“Up to 90% of women have cellulite regardless of size, age or ethnicity
When it comes to cellulite, it is important to understand the underlying structural causes of cellulite.
1 – Fibrous septae
2 – Fewer and larger subcutaneous fat lobules
3 – Weaker dermal layer
Fibrous septae can tether the skin, creating localized points of tension that cause the dimpling look. By reducing that tension in the dermal layer, superficial skin appears smoother.
What is involved in the process?
1 – Consultation
During the initial consultation, the practitioner will assess the area to be treated. This is one of the most important steps of the process! Determining if a patient has actual cellulite or just skin laxity. They are two completely different conditions and Qwo will not treat laxity, only cellulite. The amount of dimples are counted to determine the actual price of the treatment.
2 – Taking Photos
Taking photos of the area before the treatment is very important. We have disposal underwear for patients to wear to ensure the before and after photos reveal the same surrounding environment.
3 – Marking
The dimples are circled with a marking pen.
4 – Injection of dimples
The dimples are injected with Qwo. The entire treatment is about 10 to 15 minutes.
5 – Next appointment
Appointments are scheduled 21 days apart for 3 treatments. Patients are free to continue on with daily activities without restriction! Post-care instructions will also be provided.
What is the downtime?
Bruising is the most common side effect of Qwo injections. Luckily, the bruising is less and less with each treatment. The area is slightly tender post op, but again, gets easier with each treatment.
